Bill Taylor
CEO

Spending time with Bill Taylor feels kind of like you’re both sipping a glass of iced tea at the edge of the dock. It’s calming and it just makes you feel good. Bill epitomizes and exemplifies what it means to be in the people business. He’s a great listener because he’s genuinely interested in other people—clients, employees, and strangers alike. He engages in such a way that stories and conversation just flow, easily getting to the crux of the matter.

Bill has been with the organization since 1969 and remains its heart and soul. While businesses, products, and technologies change over time, Bill knows that, just like always, people still need to be heard, understood, and supported, a philosophy he instills in associates across the company.

Bill has always been a key player in the development and maintenance of relationships with TSP’s clients, leading to success in building and expanding offices throughout the U.S. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Miami University.

Mike Gamble
President

With a background in science, Mike knows the industry and our clients’ business from the inside. With a quiet demeanor he’s a great listener, capable of really hearing and understanding the problem that needs to be solved. Plus, like his deep-seated passion for his sports teams, Mike has an unyielding loyalty to the relationships he’s built over the years, always staying in touch and connected.

Mike’s extensive staffing background and even his sense of humor help him infuse different ways of looking at situations, welcomed by clients and colleagues looking for a creative, collaborative solution.

Mike has nearly 20 years of experience designing comprehensive talent acquisition solutions for leading healthcare and life science focused organizations. In his role, he is responsible for leading TSP's passionate group of recruiters and consultants. Prior to TSP, Mike worked for Yoh, a leading staffing and workforce solutions organization where he held various leadership and sales executive positions. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Ursinus College and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Saint Joseph’s University.

Jon DeWitt
Executive Vice President

Ask anyone about Jon and, more than likely, the first thing they’ll mention is his enthusiasm. However, when you interact with Jon you’ll see, hear, and feel his energy.

Clients and associates love working with him, not just because he’s fun to be around, but also because his optimism and confidence rub right off, making whatever task, challenge, or goal suddenly feel achievable.

Jon may be the first person to laugh or make a joke in a meeting, but he’s also the one to deliver the insights, counter-points, and solutions that no one else would have thought of because he’s smart, creative, and truly cares about our people and our business.

Jon has been with Taylor Strategy Partners for more than 30 years. As Executive Vice President and Partner he is instrumental in the growth of the firm and his responsibilities include new business, client and leadership development. Jon’s career began with 10 years of successful sales, management, and operations responsibilities with Ashland Chemical Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University.

Chad Thompson, Ph.D.
Vice President, Managing Director - C&A

Just because Chad has a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology, doesn’t mean he can’t talk to you about sports, craft beer, tech buzz or the most recent episode of The Bachelorette—a show whose outcome he has successfully predicted more times than most people admit actually watching it. In people business—and even in pop culture—Chad uses data, tools, and his professional experience to develop and interpret insights about how to measure, develop, and retain people.

Chad joined TSP in 2011 to lead the consulting and assessment practice, where he works with clients on a wide variety of talent acquisition and management projects.  He plans and conducts executive assessments, both as part of TSP searches and independently.  If success requires a specific skill, Chad and his team can figure out how to measure it.  

Prior to TSP, Chad was a consultant at Aon Hewitt, where he had responsibility for leading the design and management of large-scale selection initiatives and leadership assessment programs for Fortune 500 clients. Chad’s research on selection has been published in peer-reviewed journals, and he is a frequent speaker at national conferences. He has also been quoted in publications such as HR Magazine. Chad received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology from Wright State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wittenberg University.

Mike Muzi
Vice President, Managing Director - RPO

Being easy-going isn’t just an aspect of Mike’s personality, it’s one of the reasons he’s so successful as a leader of the RPO practice. His solid, even-keel approach instills confidence and consistency between our clients and the delivery of their services.

A former Division I athlete, Mike is both a fierce competitor and a dependable teammate, always championing the need for collaboration to achieve the best solution. Mike will do anything for his clients and his teams, from giving an honest assessment, to solving a problem, to supporting an individual’s growth.

Since joining TSP in 2008, Mike has led the RPO team producing volumes ranging in scale from 30-600+ hires per client annually. He has been instrumental in building teams responsible for delivering metrics-based results across both full-time and temporary positions for clients in the US and Canada. Prior to TSP, Mike recruited for and led a branch of Robert Half International. Mike holds a Bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University.

Kenneth Amicon
Vice President, Managing Director - Executive & Professional Search

When you run into Ken at the office, you immediately feel his genuine interest in how you’re doing at that specific moment in time.  Ken’s mild-mannered, but intentional care for the people he works with, makes it no surprise that he career double dipped, and came back to the TSP team in 2015, previously contributing to the TSP of the mid-90’s. Ken knows the people business and he blends that with a deep knowledge of the Payer, Provider, Health and Property & Casualty Insurance sectors.

Ken has over 20 years of executive and professional search experience. He has conducted a wide variety of search assignments for large, multi-state healthcare and insurance companies, integrated delivery systems, Pharmaceutical Benefit Management (PBM) companies, specialty carve-out and venture capital-backed companies.

Previously, Ken served as a consultant with Witt/Kieffer, and was an integral part of their healthcare, managed care and insurance practices. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The Ohio State University.

Jennifer McDonald
Vice President, Operations – RPO

Raised in New York and having spent the better part of the last two decades in the South, Jenn is the perfect combination of get-it-done assertiveness and good-natured collaboration. Her analytical approach not only contributes to the thoroughness of the end result, it educates everyone else along the way. With intimate knowledge of the R&D process and a great depth of experience in healthcare and life sciences, Jenn is the person you want to bounce ideas off of to make sure your team is in the best position to deliver results.

With her passion for training and development, Jenn is a great judge of talent, able to interpret data to accurately assess people’s strengths and weaknesses. She. Builds. Great. Teams.

Jenn has been recruiting and building top-performing talent for more than 15 years. Prior to TSP, Jenn worked for System One, Yoh, and Hudson, leading global talent acquisition teams for full-time, contract, and RPO projects. Jenn holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology and Psychology from the University of Houston.

 

Deborah Schnell
Vice President, Managing Director

Even the animated and enthusiastic are amazed by the levels of Deb’s energy – and they love it. Her vitality pours into everything she does, whether it’s taking care of her clients and teammates or writing incredible poetry in her free time. She’s a winner who knows how to take things to the next level and yet she doesn’t let her altitude affect her attitude. When you meet Deb, you just know she is going to make things happen.

And she has. Deb has been working with world-class sales and marketing organizations for over 30 years with extensive experience in pharmaceutical sales and business development. Prior to TSP, Deb served in leadership roles for MNG Direct, a multi channel communication platform, Healthy Advice Networks (now Patient Point), a place-based media and patient education company, and PDI Inc., a leading health care commercialization group. She also spent over a decade at the IBM Corporation in sales, marketing, and brand management roles.

At TSP, she is leading efforts for sales force expansion engagements, designed to accelerate performance. Deb holds a Bachelor’s degree from Miami University.
