Recruiters bring the #powerofpersonal to hiring events

Earlier this fall, TSP’s sales accelerator team completed an extensive project of recruiting sales reps to bring a client's new product to market. The event spanned across three locations – and TSP recruiters scattered across the US to ensure that the process went smoothly and add the last touch of #powerofpersonal.

During the hiring events, we get to be right in the action as our candidates meet with the final group of interviewers. We debrief and prep clients and candidates alike as interviews complete and begin again. The little things in the heat of the moment – the nerves, the adrenaline, seeing the big grin on someone's face when they know they nailed an interview – make the long hours and hard work worth it.

What’s better, the candidates are abundantly appreciative. While it may seem small, simply showing up to these events and making ourselves available to these candidates helps them feel a little at ease.

Most importantly, our presence at these events as recruiters has an incredible impact on the overall process.  When I've spent the last four weeks getting to know someone, I know what the candidate needs in their career to be happy. Now, I can sit down and look them in the eyes when we talk about the opportunity. That level of trust and personal engagement is essential to helping them accept an offer quickly and transition into a new and exciting career.

We've heard back from a few candidates about their experience working with TSP in this sales build or other projects.  Their feedback is a reminder that we've built a great process that has a positive impact on people's careers. It also makes me think about the impact of these new hires once my role is complete – after all, it's the individuals you hire that will make a launch successful.  

Carrying out a personal process puts the right people in the right places. It's a better experience for the candidates, it's a better experience for the hiring managers, and it builds a better sales force. Win-win-win.
