One Goal. End Cancer.

In August, I have the privilege of participating in my 2nd Pelotonia bike ride in Columbus. In 2015, alongside my wife and father-in-law, we completed a 45-mile journey from downtown Columbus to New Albany, raising over $3,000 for cancer research.

This year, I have the amazing opportunity to take the same journey with my TSP family. At TSP, we believe in the #powerofpersonal, and part of that is recognizing the causes our people care about. Several of my teammates are riding on team TSPeloton, and TSP Nation as a whole is helping us meet our fundraising goals.

Pelotonia raises money to support life-saving cancer research. 100% of every dollar raised goes to research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute.

So, why do I ride? I ride for my Grandma who would have been our biggest fan at the finish line. For my uncle and cousin battling every day to beat cancer. For my wife's Grandma and Grandpa who all fought until the very end. I ride for my friend Chris' parents who were both taken from his family too soon.  For my friend Ryan's sister, lost to pediatric cancer. I ride for my Grandpa and TSP teammate Jackie who are both survivors. I ride to remember my friends John and Dean. I ride for all those who have fought and are still fighting this disease.

My colleague Drew is riding to honor his cousin, Mara, who is fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Brittany rides in memory of her grandparents. Blake rides in memory of his grandfather. Lindsey rides for those who can’t.  We all ride to help find a cure and #EndCancer.
