experience the power of giving back

“To whom much is given, much is expected.” My parents taught me early on in life that when given blessings, it is a responsibility to find ways to bless others. In my 16 years at Taylor Strategy Partners, I have had many blessings – great learning experiences, supportive leaders and the opportunity to work in the important business of healthcare. But my biggest blessing at TSP, and the one for which I am most grateful, is being part of an amazing team with a shared belief in the importance of giving back.

Over the past 12 months, our TSP team has helped put together care packages for those in need of basic food supplies during the winter months.

We ‘adopted’ several families to make their Christmas brighter. We celebrated our 3rd annual Red Pants Day to raise both funds and awareness to fight Vascular Ehler Danlos Syndrome in honor of our friend, Mike Yasick. We played golf to fight Alzheimer’s because it took the mother of one of our leaders and devastates families every day that there is no cure. We walked in support of our teammate, Mandy Trail, to end Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). We served over 700 meals to people experiencing homelessness in three states because we believe we can do better in our communities.

Despite busy lives and hectic schedules, we have given our time, talent and treasure to make a difference where it was needed and never had to ask twice for our team to engage when an opportunity to give back was presented.

Experiencing the #powerofpersonal means recognizing the importance of people, relationships and the uniqueness of challenges, and then rising up to make an impact – in our profession and in our communities. Our TSP team believes this to be true and lives it every day of the year. As you prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving this week, take a moment to be thankful for all the blessings in your professional and personal life and then consider how you can experience the awesome power of giving back.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at TSP!
